Balls of Fury

Okay, maybe the title brought you in. Curiousity killed the cat and all, right?  Well, these Balls of Fury are worthy of the name! Need a boost? These little powerhouses give not only a mental and physical boost but, also pump up your immune system and help with muscle function! They are loaded with oodles of good stuff! Matcha Green Tea, Cacao nibs and Hazelnut meal to name a few! 


With the Matcha Green Tea you get:: 

  1. The catechins in green tea can improve immune system function.
  2.  Aides in recovery from strenuous workouts.
  3.  Energy boost.


Cacao Nibs provide:

  1.  A bit of sweetness.
  2.  Magnesium rich, which is imperative for muscle and nerve function. 
  3.  A great amount of fiber and lets face it, who doesn’t need more fiber?!
  4.  Enhance neurotransmitters, which help boost your mood.


Low-down on Hazelnut Meal::

  1.  Healthy source of fat. Don’t go overboard here but FAT isn’t a bad word, get in good fats!
  2.  High amounts of Oleic Acid which means it helps to lower LDL and raise HDL, something we all need! 
  3.  High in Vitamin E, which helps nourish skin, hair and nails. 
  4.  Also, a great source of Magnesium, calcium and Thiamin (Vitamin B1)! 


If you aren’t sold yet let me add that they taste great! It is the perfect pre/post workout snack as well as a great afternoon snack to get you through the day. They are also super easy to make! Come on, no excuses to get in a healthy snack! 


You’ll need::

1 Cup Shredded Coconut

4 Tablespoons Hazelnut Meal (flour)

2 Tablespoons pure Maple Syrup

2 Tablespoons Cacao Nibs

1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

1 Tablespoon Matcha Green Tea (loose)


Throw all ingredients into a food processor until it begins to clump. Roll into 1 inch balls and store in the refrigerator for a quick and healthy snack. Calorie and sugar wise I would limit it to 2 per day. Eat within a week to ensure freshness.
