Part 3:: Heather’s Health Journey

I don’t know about you but I think everything happens for a reason! One day I went to have a facial (self care moment) with one of my friends who, had also had been on a major health journey. She started talking about a natural medicine Doctor she had started seeing. I got his name and I am not exaggerating here, I called his office while in her parking lot and set up an appointment! I knew I was so much better but I didn’t think I was at my body’s full potential.

I was soon sitting in his office, I knew nothing about him but I knew that I was where I should be for this next step. We instantly hit it off! He ran tests and we discovered I still had some major parasites (they can be pesky and their are MANY varieties) as well as Guardia, high metals, pesticides and as a kicker my body was still struggling to digest food. Protein assimilation was a major issue! This made total sense because of my gluten & whey protein allergies!! I was also having this pain in my right jaw when I would eat, at some times it was as though my jaw would almost lock, he explained they went hand in hand. Woah, eye opening! It so happened that another of my major allergies was to walnuts, this happens to be something that naturally rids parasites. I know!!!

So we worked on more detoxification, a little more hormonal support, getting rid of the parasites and supporting my body when I consumed protein. It took a few months and, much to my surprise I was feeling better than I had ever felt before. Energy was up, my brain and gut were chugging along with only a few hiccups and I didn’t need that afternoon nap anymore. LIFE CHANGING!! At 43 I was more energetic and in better shape than ever before. I couldn’t imagine feeling any better! Then….

Join me next week for the most recent stint in my journey!

XOXO
