Part 4:: Heather’s Health Journey

Well, here we are, on the most recent leg of my journey. Thanks for tagging along!

Remember how I said I think everything happens for a reason? Here is more proof! One day I get a message from my friend Dana, (how we met in and of itself is a great story and more proof everything happens for a reason!) she shared that she had been using these phototherapy patches for a few months and was feeling great! I happen to use an infrared sauna regularly so I was excited to hear about the patches because I know the power light has on our bodies.

As you’ll remember, I thought I was feeling the best that I could possibly feel so I was skeptical that they would be much help to me because how could I feel any better?! However, my son happened to be having his wisdom teeth out in a few weeks and I thought this would be a great opportunity to try them. So I ordered the patches she thought would be helpful for his recovery, right after his procedure we load him up with patches. By 8pm that night heโ€™s up, alert and cleaning his room! Only a few days later his stitches were falling out and he was feeling great. I’m not going to lie, at this point I was hoping there would be a few patches left for me to try!

Over the last 9+ months I have been using a varying array of the phototherapy patches (all from Lifewave). Iโ€™ve felt and seen things happen with my body that are proof these little things are effective for healing, strengthening, sleep, recovery, building my immune system, energy, brain health, joint health, aches, and so many other things I canโ€™t even begin to list them all.

I try to keep a massage scheduled regularly to help with lymphatic flow as well as tension. I also recently started adding acupuncture into my regimen! I felt like all extra hands on deck for building my immune system and helping with detox consistently is helpful. I have really enjoyed acupuncture! I know that sounds strange but I can feel things happening during my sessions and it’s a great opportunity to stop for a bit and just breathe. We all need that!

Iโ€™m still learning every single day and I know this journey is only a fraction of my time here on earth! Iโ€™m so thankful for every person Iโ€™ve come across on this long road as well as the mountain of information Iโ€™ve tucked away for others who are on a similar road. 

The moral of my story? Keep going, keep learning and keep searching! We donโ€™t know what we donโ€™t know but, if you place those in your life who do know the changes can be mind-blowing!
